Antonio Conte has admitted that he doesn’t know whether Michy Batshuayi will be fit to play for Belgium in this summer’s World Cup after he was forced to cut short his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund due to injury.

The Belgian striker has returned to Chelsea FC in recent days after suffering an apparent ankle injury during Borussia Dortmund’s loss to Schalke on Sunday.

Batshuayi will now undergo treatment with his parent club and he tweeted that his season is probably over after suffering the knock.

The 24-year-old will naturally be desperate to get back fit as quickly as possible ahead of Belgium’s trip to Russia for this summer’s World Cup.

And Conte has revealed that he is hoping to see the forward back in action for the west London side as quickly as possible.
