Google has spoken out about the Huawei case. The American group recalls that it continues to update Huawei smartphones as long as Washington allows it. But, it strongly advises not to install its mobile services and apps on Huawei smartphones that have not been certified.<br />
<br />
Nine months ago, it was a particularly violent blow that fell on Huawei’s skull. The Chinese manufacturer was indeed sanctioned by the American administration and thus no longer had the right to do business with American companies.<br />
<br />
One of the main consequences of these sanctions is the absence of Google mobile services from Huawei devices released since May 19, 2019. Since the start of the case, if the Chinese group has spoken repeatedly, the word of Google has nevertheless become more rare.<br />
<br />
However, now, Tristan Ostrowski, legal officer of the American group, detailed several information on one of the support pages for Android.<br />
<br />
This is an opportunity for Google to explain the absence of its services on the new Huawei devices. “We have continued to receive a number of questions about new Huawei devices. And whether Google’s apps and services can be used on these devices”. Said Tristan Ostrowski.<br />

The legal representative explains that Google mobile services are only integrated on devices that have been certified by Google through the Play Protect program. However, this certification is done before production: “Play Protect certified devices go through a rigorous security review and compatibility testing process, performed by Google. This is to ensure user data and app information are kept safe”.<br />

However, due to the US embargo, Google could no longer work with Huawei. This means that smartphones launched after that date of the ban could not pass these security tests. They cannot therefore embed Google mobile services and are therefore not Play Protect certified.<br />

Google is also aware that some users are still trying to install its Play Services on Huawei smartphones released after the crisis. This was particularly the case of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro when it was released in the fall. But it should also be that of the Honor View 30 Pro, the Mate XS or the upcoming P40. However, the firm strongly advises against this manipulation.<br />

Installing Google apps will not work reliably, since we do not allow these services to run on non-certified devices. Installing Google applications also poses a risk of installing an app that has been modified. It could compromise the user security.<br />

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday February 19, revealed that that 103 people have been killed by Lassa fever since its recent outbreak on December 30, 2019. <br /><br />Late victims of the disease resided in Ondo, Edo, Ebonyi, Kano, Kogi, Kaduna, Taraba, Plateau, Bauchi, Enugu, Abia, Benue, Borno, Gombe, Sokoto and Katsina.<br /><br />A total of 586 cases have been confirmed across the country. Edo has the highest burden of confirmed cases at 35 per cent, followed by Ondo with 32 per cent and Ebonyi at six per cent. 26 states have also recorded at least one confirmed case across the 101 local government areas in the country. <br /><br />NCDC's report reads in part; <br /><blockquote class="tr_bq">

A man who was acquitted of rape last month has been charged with raping a 6-year-old girl.<br />
<br />
On Tuesday, February 18, Samuel Heber Butler, 24, from Utah, was charged with five felony counts for allegedly sexually assaulting a young girl and attempting to bribe her mother with money to keep her from contacting the police.<br />
<br />
This is Butler’s eighth time being accused of sexual assault, and his second time being charged with the crime.<br />
<br />
Just a few weeks ago, Butler was acquitted of sexually assaulting a student from Dixie State University back in 2017.<br />
<br />
Police arrested Butler last week after another woman reported that he had recently sexually abused her 6-year-old. Butler was charged with rape of a child, sodomy of a child, aggravated sexual abuse of a child, sexual abuse of a child and tampering with a witness in the 4th District Court.<br />
<br />
The mother of the child said she met Butler on Facebook weeks earlier and invited him to her home in Provo last Wednesday. She said during his visit, Butler and her daughter fell asleep on the couch, and she left the two and went to sleep in her bedroom. Documents state Butler took his clothes off along with some of the girl’s and raped her.<br />
<br />
The 6-year-old victim said Butler told her he wanted to "marry" her.<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
"He also apologized for what he’d done and promised it wouldn’t happen again," wrote Deputy Utah County Attorney Dave Sturgill wrote in charging documents.</blockquote>
The girl ended up running to her mother’s bedroom and asked if she could sleep with her because Butler kept touching her. When the mother confronted Butler, he pleaded with her to not call the police and offered her money, reports The Salt Lake Tribune.<br />

Butler left the woman’s home but surrendered to police the next day. Reports show there is currently no court date.</div>

Mr Tesler was born in the Bronx, New York, in 1945, and studied at Stanford University in California. Tesler specialised in human-computer interaction, employing his skills at Amazon, Apple, Yahoo, and the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC).<br />
<br />
The icon of early computing started working in Silicon Valley in the early 1960s, at a time when computers were inaccessible to the vast majority of people.  After graduating, he specialised in user interface design.<br />
<br />
He started at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), before Steve Jobs poached him for Apple, where he spent 17 years and rose to chief scientist. He went on to establish an education startup and did stints in user-experience technology at Amazon and Yahoo.<br />
<br />
Thanks to his innovations - including the "cut", "copy" and "paste" commands - the personal computer became simple to learn and use.<br />
<br />
"Tesler created the idea of 'cut, copy, & paste' and combined computer science training with a counterculture vision that computers should be for everyone," the Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley tweeted on Wednesday while paying tribute to him.</div>

An Indian hemp farm located inside a school compound in Anambra State has been uncovered by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). <br />

45-year-old man Amobi Okafor, said to be the owner of the farm inside Lake City Secondary School in Nri community of Anaocha Local Government Area was initially arrested for allegedly macheting a security guard in the school during an altercation before the discovery was made. <br />

Commandant of the NSCDC in Anambra, Mr David Bille said; <br />

“It would be recalled that on the 13/02/2020 following credible intelligence report, operatives of NSCDC arrested one Amobi Okafor ‘m’ aged 45 from Uruofo village, Nri, Anaocha LGA Anambra State.<br />
“The suspect was arrested at about 12:00 hrs for allegedly attacking, macheting and injuring one Mathias Ajoagu (security guard at Lake City Secondary School) m’ aged 71 years.<br />
“The suspect confessed to the crime and took the NSCDC operatives to the location, behind Lake City Secondary School, where he grows cannabis on a yearly basis.<br />
“Exhibits recovered from him include machet, fresh leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa(indian hemp) and other incriminating items.”</blockquote>
Billie further disclosed that Amobi will be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to face the law and to serve as a deterrent to others, after an investigation into how he came about cultivating the illegal substance in the compound. </div>

Microsoft has accidentally published an internal design document for its upcoming Windows 10X operating system.<br />

Spotted by WalkingCat, the document was briefly available online today and provides some more detail about Microsoft’s plans with Windows 10X.<br />
<br />
The software giant originally unveiled Windows 10X as the operating system powering the company’s new Surface Neo hardware, but it will also run on similar dual-screen devices.<br />
<br />
Microsoft has so far only officially confirmed Windows 10X will be available on foldables and dual-screen devices, with tweaks to both the Start Menu and taskbar, but it’s clear the company now has ambitions to bring those changes to traditional clamshell laptop hardware.<br />
<br />
“For both clamshells and foldables, the taskbar will be the same base model with a series of ‘levers’ which can be pulled to create some alternatives in the model,” explains the document.<br />
<br />
In Windows 10X, Microsoft now refers to the Start Menu as the Launcher, which has a stronger emphasis on local search: “Search is seamlessly integrated with web results, available apps, and specific files on your device,” reveals the document.<br />
<br />
“Recommended content is dynamically updated based on your most frequently and recently used apps, files, and websites.”<br />
<br />
Windows 10X will also improve the Windows Hello facial recognition authentication experience. “When the screen turns on you are immediately brought to a state of authentication; unlike Windows 10 where you first need to dismiss the lock curtain before authenticating,” reveals the Windows 10X document. “Upon waking the device, Windows Hello Face instantly recognizes the user and will immediately transition to their desktop.”<br />

Elsewhere in the leaked document, Microsoft also mentions a “Modern File Explorer.” The company has long been working on a more modern Universal Windows App (UWP) version of the traditional File Explorer, and it appears this will finally debut with Windows 10X.<br />
<br />
It will likely be touch-friendly, and simplified for access to documents stored in Office 365, OneDrive, and other cloud services.<br />
<br />
Microsoft is also simplifying the Action Center (notification center) and quick settings in Windows 10X. This will make it quicker to access critical device settings, and prioritize showing important ones like battery life.<br />
<br />
Windows 10X will also support customization here, but Wi-Fi, cell data, Bluetooth, airplane mode, rotation lock, and projection are all default quick settings.<br />
<br />
On the Office side, it appears Microsoft is prioritizing traditional Win32 versions of Office and the PWA web versions from Office.com for Windows 10X over UWP.<br />
<br />
Microsoft does have UWP versions of its Office Mobile apps, but the company put the development of those on hold last year.<br />
<br />
We’ll likely see a significant investment in the web versions of Office over the coming year before Windows 10X ships on the Surface Neo for holiday 2020.<br />

Microsoft pulled its Windows 10X documentation offline before we were able to see all the details. We’ve reached out to the company for comment on the leak, and we’ll update you accordingly.<br />

Attwell’s decision was controversially overturned, but then Krul saw justice served by saving Rashford’s weak spot kick.<br />
<br />
Yet, on the half hour mark, the England striker notched his 50th goal for United with a slick finish from James’ cross from the right.<br />
<br />
Attwell had another decision overturned by VAR on 41 minutes, after he initially awarding a corner when Cantwell blocked Fred’s strike on goal.<br />
<br />
This time the replays ensured the right call was made as the Norwich midfielder clearly raised his arm to an unnatural position to deflect Fred’s shot to safety.<br />
<br />
Martial took responsibility from 12 yards this time, only for Krul to dive to his left and save again.<br />
<br />
Canaries boss Daniel Farke made a double change at half time, introducing Onel Hernandez and Marco Stiepermann for Cantwell and Moritz Leitner.<br />
<br />
Yet Martial sealed United’s long-awaited win on the road with a wonderful finish from a sumptuous return pass from Rashford on 73 minutes.<br />
<br />
There was no way through the United rearguard, which was superbly held together by Harry Maguire, until a late slip-up by McTominay allowed Hernandez to drill in an 88th-minute consolation goal.<br />

U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday announced that Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi killed himself during a daring overnight raid by elite U.S. special operations forces in Syria, in a major victory as he fights a Democratic-led impeachment inquiry.<br />
<br />
Baghdadi died alongside three of his children by detonating an explosives-laden vest when he fled U.S. forces into a dead-end tunnel during the attack, which took place in the Idlib region in northwest Syria, the Republican president said in a televised address to the nation from the White House.<br />
<br />
Under Iraqi-born Baghdadi’s rule, Islamic State — which at one point controlled swathes of Syria and Iraq — is responsible for gruesome attacks against religious minorities and attacks on five continents in the name of a form of ultra-fanatical Islam.<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
“Last night the United States brought the world’s No.1 terrorist leader to justice,” Trump said in extended remarks describing the raid.</blockquote>
U.S. Defense Secretary Mark Esper said the goal of the operation had been to capture Baghdadi if possible but kill him if necessary.<br />
<br />
Esper said two U.S. forces suffered minor injuries during the operation but have already returned to duty. Trump said a military dog was wounded.<br />
<br />
A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the operation was staged from an airbase in western Iraq.<br />
<br />
The death of Baghdadi was an important win for Trump weeks after his sudden decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria sparked a wave of harsh criticism, including from fellow Republicans, that the move would lead to a resurgence of Islamic State, which is also known as ISIS.<br />

“The thug who tried so hard to intimidate others spent his last moments in utter fear, panic and dread, terrified of the American forces coming down on him,” Trump said. </blockquote>

“He reached the end of the tunnel as our dogs chased him down. He ignited his vest, killing himself and his three children. His body was mutilated by the blasts. The tunnel had caved on him,” he added.</blockquote>
Russia opened up its airspace for the raid and Kurdish allies gave some helpful information, according to Trump, who watched the operation unfold with Vice President Mike Pence and others.<br />
<br />
Trump said the raid would not change his decision to withdraw troops from Syria. U.S. forces included the elite Delta Force, a U.S. official told Reuters.<br />
<br />
Trump indicated that killing Baghdadi was a greater achievement than the 2011 U.S. operation during the administration of Democratic President Barack Obama that killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, who planned the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.<br />

“Bin Laden was a big thing, but this (Baghdadi) is the biggest there is. This is the worst ever,” Trump said.</blockquote>
The Baghdadi raid put the spotlight on Trump’s uneasy relationship with the U.S. intelligence community. He praised the role of intelligence officials in laying the groundwork for the attack, saying that is the type of activity it should be focused on.<br />
<br />
Trump has taken issue with the intelligence community on various issues, including its conclusion that Russian meddling in the 2016 election was aimed at helping him win.<br />
<br />
His administration is also investigating the origin of the counter intelligence operation into Russian interference during the 2016 election.<br />
<br />
In what may end up being one of Trump’s most important national security achievements, the killing of Baghdadi will help the Republican president project strength as he fights a widening impeachment inquiry launched by Democrats last month.<br />
<br />
The impeachment inquiry focuses on Trump’s request for Ukraine to investigate a domestic rival - Democrat Joe Biden - for his personal political benefit. Biden’s son, Hunter, had served on the board of a Ukrainian gas company.<br />
<br />
Biden, who is a contender for the Democratic nomination to face Trump in the 2020 election, congratulated those involved in the operation, but did not mention Trump himself and again criticized the president’s Syria strategy.<br />

“We cannot afford to get distracted or take our eye off the target. ISIS remains a threat to the American people and our allies, and we must keep up the pressure to prevent ISIS from ever regrouping or again threatening the United States,” Biden said.</blockquote>
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, speaking at the White House, praised Trump for making what he called a “hard call” in approving the attack.<br />

Lexus is preparing to unveil its first electric car next month. And with that in mind, Toyota’s luxury marque is showing off a concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show this week that teases all sorts of far-out ideas that may or may not make it into its future electric vehicles, like gesture control, augmented reality, self-driving technology, in-wheel motors, and even drones.<br />
<br />
The LF-30 Electrified, as it’s called, is a wedge-shaped coupe packed with crystalline angles and protrusions both inside and out.<br />
<br />
It seats four, with the driver and front passenger essentially getting their own first class-style cockpits and nearly-matching futuristic displays, while the rear passengers are treated to bucket seats with “artificial muscle technology” that can “mold to their occupant.”<br />
<br />
The large windshield continues all the way up and over to the car’s rear end, and Lexus imagines using this glass roof as a display for information like “a realistic star-filled sky, user-favorite videos, and even navigation” for rear passengers — an idea Lexus unflinchingly refers to as “SkyGate.”<br />
<br />
LF-30 Electrified passengers will be able to interact with SkyGate through voice control, or with Minority Report-style gesture control.<br />
<br />
Artificial intelligence will be able to recognize “the voices of vehicle occupants” to help adjust air temperature, audio, or driving settings to occupants’ liking, aid in navigation, and even make “proposals for activities after arrival.”<br />
<br />
Meanwhile, the opacity of the windows can be adjusted to either let in or fully block outside light. Lexus is also stressing that the concept has been designed with sustainable materials, like charred cedar and recycled metal. And the car’s exterior is adorned with dynamic lighting.<br />
<br />
The LF-30 Electrified concept employs a number of futuristic technologies on the more mechanical side of things, too, ranging from the plausible to the outrageous.<br />
<br />
It uses in-wheel electric motors (instead of placing motors on each axle) which would allow for more dynamic driving, including something Lexus is calling “posture control,” which essentially adjusts the output of each motor in real time to keep the LF-30 composed in dynamic driving conditions.<br />
<br />
The car also uses steer-by-wire technology, meaning there’s no mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the drive train, which would allow the wheel to be moved forward when the LF-30 is operating autonomously.<br />
<br />
And of course the LF-30 Electrified concept has autonomous functionality. What self-respecting modern concept car wouldn’t? Lexus doesn’t go into great detail about what’s powering this autonomous capability, though, since it doesn’t really need to. Again, this is just the company positing what could happen someday down the road.<br />
<br />
That said, Lexus included a bunch of specs that give us an idea of what the company is targeting with its first electric vehicle (and whatever others follow).<br />
<br />
The LF-30 Electrified is designed around a 110kWh battery pack (so 10kWh bigger than what Tesla has on the road at the moment), which would deliver a range of around 500 kilometers (or roughly 310 miles) on Europe’s WLTP test cycle.<br />
<br />
The car could go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.8 seconds, with a combined power output of 400kW (536 horsepower).<br />
<br />
But the best futuristic flourish may be the “Lexus Airporter.” It’s what Lexus calls a “drone-technology support vehicle,” which can do things like carry luggage from an owner’s doorstep straight to the car.<br />

Students and trade unionists led marches through Santiago on Wednesday in the first formally organized demonstration against social inequality since Chilean President Sebastian Pinera pledged social reforms to try to quell days of rioting.<br />
<br />
Thousands of striking workers, including healthcare workers and teachers, sang and carried banners in the capital and other cities. The largely peaceful marches were monitored by police and soldiers.<br />
<br />
The gatherings dovetailed four days of protests, arson attacks and looting which has seen more than 6,000 people detained and at least 15 people killed. Thousands of Chileans defied a state of emergency and military curfews.<br />
<br />
Trade unions and social organizations wanted a voice in the rollout of a social reform plan announced by Pinera on Tuesday night, said José Pérez Debelli, president of the National Grouping of Fiscal Employees (ANEF), one of the unions that called the strike.<br />
<br />
“We must carry the voice of those who are on the street, to channel anger and discontent over the inequality of our country,” he said.<br />
<br />
The Copper Workers Federation (FTC), which includes unionized workers from each division of state miner Codelco, the world’s top copper producer, agreed late on Tuesday to join the general, nationwide strike on Wednesday.<br />
<br />
Codelco said one of its mines was shut and operations at a smelter drastically reduced.<br />
<br />
Six of Codelco’s eight divisions were carrying on with the “majority of their operations,” the company said in a statement.<br />
<br />
Copper producer Antofagasta Plc said on Wednesday protests in Chile could cut its production by about 5,000 tonnes, equivalent to less than 3% of third quarter output, because of delays in supplies and travel disruptions for workers.<br />
<br />
Jimena Blanco, Head of Latin America research at consultancy Verisk Maplecroft, said it was “a matter of time” before the knock-on effects along the supply chain had a negative impact on the mining industry.<br />
<br />
“For example, yesterday’s strike by the port workers’ union affected 20 of the country’s maritime facilities, including key mining export ones in Antofagasta and Iquique,” she said.<br />
<br />
In his announcement, Pinera said he hoped to turn the violent protests into an “opportunity” for Chile..<br />
<br />
Pinera’s proposed reforms include a guaranteed minimum wage, a hike in the state pension and the stabilization of electricity costs.<br />
<br />
The president said the package represented “concrete and urgent steps” to resolve inequality that has sent tens of thousands into the streets to demand an economic overhaul and, in some cases, his removal.<br />
<br />
Venezuela’s socialist president Nicolas Maduro on Wednesday celebrated developments in Chile, saying they represented victory in a battle “to dismantle the neoliberal model.”<br />
<br />
Pope Francis, originally from neighboring Argentina, said he was concerned over the protests.<br />
<br />
“I hope that by ending the violent demonstrations, through dialogue, efforts are made to find solutions to the crisis,” Francis said at a general audience in St. Peter’s Square on Tuesday.<br />
<br />
There were angry scenes in the Chilean chamber of deputies on Tuesday after a group of far-left lawmakers sought to challenge Interior Minister Andres Chadwick over the numbers of people detained, injured and killed since the protests began.<br />
<br />
Photographs and videos are circulating on social media apparently of excessive force used by police and soldiers. Reuters has been unable to confirm the authenticity of the images.<br />
<br />
Chile’s Human Rights Institute (INDH) said it received a complaint of torture in a central Santiago metro station and urged the authorities to investigate. The group said it had also registered 173 civilians injured by firearms since the weekend.<br />
<br />
Prosecutors said on Wednesday afternoon that 6,493 people had been charged for involvement in protests and rioting since Saturday.<br />
<br />
Joaquin Lavin, the mayor of the upmarket suburb Las Condes east of Santiago, raised concerns about the shooting of three people outside a condominium in the early hours of Tuesday morning when a military curfew was in place. One person remains in serious condition in hospital, Lavin said.<br />
<br />
The mayor said parents who lived during Augusto Pinochet’s military dictatorship from 1973 to 1990 understood military curfews better and should explain the concept to their children. Soldiers should also exercise caution using their weapons in a heavily-populated area, Lavin said. “Those who use force must use it prudently,” he said.<br />
<br />
Justice Minister Hernan Larrain said the deaths and injuries was a source of “deep pain” for the government.<br />
<br />
“Our commitment to democracy is inalienable and inseparable from the respect and protection of human rights and the operation of the Rule of Law,” Chilean daily La Tercera quoted him as saying.<br />

Reduced to a string of stagnant mustard-colored pools, fouled in places with pesticide runoff and stinking with the rotting carcasses of cattle and fish, the Darling River is running dry.<br />
<br />
The parched earth of Australia’s longest waterway, if tributaries are included, is in the grip of the continent’s most severe drought in a century.<br />
<br />
At Menindee, 830 km west of Sydney, despair has turned to anger as residents blame the government for exacerbating the drought by drawing down river water in 2017 for irrigation and other uses downstream.<br />
<br />
Locals now avoid using tap water for drinking and washing babies and children, saying it has caused skin irritation, and prefer boxed and bottled water instead.<br />
<br />
“That was our food source, the river, our water source. That was our livelihood,” said Aboriginal elder Patricia Doyle, in her backyard piled with flotsam discovered in the now-exposed riverbed.<br />
<br />
“When you live on a river and you have to have water brought into your town to drink and survive on, what’s that saying? It’s saying that our system ... isn’t looked after properly.”<br />
<br />
The past two years have been the driest in the catchment area of the Darling, which flows 2,844 km (1,767 miles) over the outback to the sea, and adjoining Murray river since records began in 1900.<br />
<br />
Drought is weighing on economic growth, and the dire conditions have prompted Australia, a major wheat exporter, to import the grain for the first time in 12 years.<br />
<br />
Last summer was the hottest on record, and in Menindee, where temperatures regularly top 38 Celsius (100 Fahrenheit), another scorching season is expected.<br />
<br />
The government has set up a panel to evaluate water management and ordered its anti-trust watchdog to investigate trading in irrigation rights.<br />
<br />
Doyle’s clan is called the Barkindji, or people of the river, and in Aboriginal language, the Darling is called the Barka.<br />
<br />
The river is at the heart of stories about the origins of the clan and its cultural life, particularly evident in Menindee where a third of 550 residents are indigenous, compared with a national average of less than 3%.<br />
<br />
Lined with river red gums, the Darling also waters some of Australia’s richest grazing land, and until the construction of railways in the early 20th century, was the main route used to take wool and other goods to market.<br />
<br />
All aspects of society are now suffering. “The river country itself, it doesn’t provide as much as what it used to,” says Kyle Philip, a Barkindji hunter and goat musterer.<br />
<br />
Parents have forbidden children from swimming in the murky water that remains. Fish caught in holes still deep enough to hold water are inedible.<br />
<br />
“We could taste the mud in the meat of the perch,” said Philip. “We couldn’t really eat them.”<br />
<br />
Recently, Aboriginal communities held special festivals along the river “to heal the Barka”. Ochre-painted dancers performed around fires at dusk, revering the river but also seeking to draw attention to its plight.<br />
<br />
“We’re going to start dancing and singing the land,” organizer Bruce Shillingsworth said. “Singing the rivers, singing our environment back again to make it healthy.”<br />
<br />

A murder investigation has been launched after 39 bodies were found inside a Bulgarian-registered lorry on an industrial estate in Essex.  <br />
<br />
Now, a 25-year-old driver from Northern Ireland has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Local police and community sources said the arrested man was believed to be Mo Robinson, from Portadown County.<br />
<br />
Robinson’s Facebook profile identifies him as a lorry driver and includes pictures of him in a lorry’s cab or next to haulage vehicles.<br />
<br />
The trailer Robinson collected had been delivered to Purfleet by ship from the Belgian port of Zeebrugge at around midnight last night. CCTV shows Robinson's truck driving into the industrial estate at 1.10am and the police arrived around half an hour later.<br />
<br />
Neither the nationality of the victims, nor the origin of the container before it got to Zeebrugge, is currently known. The truck was removed from the scene this afternoon, with the 39 victims still believed to be inside, as police begin the process of identifying them.<br />
<br />
Speaking this afternoon, Deputy Chief Constable Pippa Mills said: 'In order to ensure we maintain the dignity of the people who sadly lost their lives, we will be moving the lorry and the trailer shortly.'  <br />
<br />
She said they were being moved to nearby Tilbury Docks so the bodies can be recovered while preserving the dignity of the victims.  'We are yet to identify them and must manage this sensitively with their families,' she added. <br />
